A beautiful deep 'emerald' green cabochon of variscite set into 9ct yellow gold.

A small but striking ring perfect for stacking or to be worn alone.

A beautiful rare gemstone to be worn and cherished for many years to come. It has a great reaction under long wave ultraviolet light - glows pale green.

Variscite is a beautiful green gemstone, often mistaken for turquoise due to its rarity and that it is much lesser known. Variscite is a hydrated aluminium phosphate mineral, green in colour due to traces of chromium. It was discovered in 1837 and owes its name to Variscia, the historical name of the Vogtland, in Germany where it was first found.
