Wow this Victorian brooch is a real show stopper. A huge oval faceted amethyst estimated at just under 25 carats in weight is beautifully set into a yellow gold setting complete with safety chain. Bellow this is a smaller deeper hued round faceted amethyst also beautifully set into yellow gold.
 
Wear as a brooch or even as a pendant threaded through chain or beads.

No marks or stamps on this piece, the metal is testing as 14ct gold, it is probably likely 15ct as was common for these pieces at that time.
