An absolutely stunning piece of history. a vivid oval red garnet cabochon set into buttery 18ct yellow gold. A beautiful intertwining design with scroll all beautifully engraved adding texture and depth to this piece.
Dating from around the mid 19th century and before etruscan revival became popular in 1860-1880 it holds many stories and symbolises love.

The condition is good considering its age, some signs of wear and scratches, some areas in hard to reach places showing natural patina. On the round loop at the top is a small rectangular piece of metal which has stuck to it at some point not testing as gold - see photos.
